Your life is already abundantly beautiful.
The problem is…we can get so distracted by ‘shoulds’, ‘supposed-tos’, and general busyness that we forget to see it.
Instead, we see only our teeming to-do list. We grab a quick lunch that’s convenient…but not particularly tasty. We spend our mornings listening to less-than-uplifting news stories and our evenings are consumed by commuter noise and traffic fumes.
Essentially, your senses are assaulted on a daily basis by countless less-than-beautiful things.
But, gorgeous, the beauty is there — as long as you remember to look for it.
So here’s my invitation to you this month.
Whatever you have going on in your life this month, make the conscious decision right now to turn your senses to all things beautiful.
It might be the sight of newly-opened, scarlet flowers in your local park or the joyful smiles on your kids’ faces as they mess around in their paddling pool.
The grounding sensation of warm sand on bare feet or the beautifully cooling feeling of a ice-cold glass pressed against your cheek on a hot day.
The taste of that first lick of gelato or sip of Pimms.
The smell of newly cut grass or veggies roasting on the BBQ.
The sound of corks popping, lemonade fizzing, bees buzzing, and back-garden-party laughter.
I promise you, you’re surrounded by beauty. Open all of your senses to it and your life will instantly feel uplifted, joyful, and oh-so-beautiful.
